Originally designed by Marco Zanuso in 1947 for a competition sponsored by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Maggiolina lounge chair has become a symbol of early mid-century Italian design. Manufactured by Zanotta since 1972, this iconic piece showcases timeless elegance, comfort, and craftsmanship.
Awarded the gold medal at the Milan Triennale in 1948, the chair features a slim, polished tubular steel frame and a sophisticated black leather sling, supporting plush brown leather cushions. The leather-wrapped armrests complement the chair’s sleek design, while the matching footstool, upholstered in black leather, completes the modern aesthetic.
